JLT engineers set out to create the biggest and baddest intake on the market—and the result was their JLT Performance Series 1 cold air intake kits. These assemblies are fully computer designed to optimize space and give the best fit and finish. A roto-moulded plastic tube resists engine heat and keeps the intake air charge nice and cool; while a smooth, tapered path to the throttle body increases airspeed and horsepower. The intakes also feature a heat shield designed to help keep hot air out by firmly hugging and sealing itself to the contours of the hood. This kit includes a roto-moulded plastic heat shield that has an opening in the front to grab fresh air from the grille/headlight area and also seals to the hood.
Our air filter is a custom-built design made by S&B. It has a built-in bell mouth for super smooth and fast airflow as well as huge 1" deep pleats for more surface area than filters that look much bigger.
The intake tube is roto molded plastic with a huge 5" filter opening for superior airflow and NO heat soak like metal tubes.With a mouth of 4.5" at the throttle body end, it is ready for any larger throttle bodies that may come in the future.
FINISHThe standard finish is an OEM-looking black textured plastic.
HEAT SHIELDIncludes our large ABS plastic heat shield to block engine heat at idle and low speed.It uses a large area to make sure the filter has tons of cool air and uses the factory fresh air inlet from the bumper to keep temps cool as stock
